Our Story
One way to describe our approach to consulting is with a joke....
A black sports car is driving down a dusty road when it is forced to stop suddenly to avoid hitting a flock of crossing sheep.
The driver gets out wearing an expensive suit, shoes and sunglasses and notices the dusty shepherd.
Realizing it will take some time before the road is clear, the driver picks up a conversation.
Driver: "I bet you 1 of your sheep that I can guess the total number in your flock".
The shepherd thinks about this for a minute. Amused, he agrees with the wager.
The driver then proceeds to take out his laptop and cell phone, access GPS images and spreadsheet models …
Driver: "You have 127 sheep."
Shepherd (surprised): "Why, yes that's correct!"
The driver reaches over and grabs an animal and hoists it into the trunk of his car. Before he can leave, however, the shepherd asks,
Shepherd: "If I can guess your profession, can I get back my animal?" The driver nods. "You're a consultant."
Driver (surprised) "How could you possibly know that?"
Shepherd : "You arrived uninvited, offered advice I already knew, and you know nothing about my business...
Now give me back my sheepdog."
